Congratulations to our own Becky Grisham who was chosen for this fellowship from hundreds of applicants all over the United States and abroad! Mrs. Grisham will bring real life experiences to the classroom through travel this summer to the places all over the United States documenting the authorship and life of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Mrs. Grisham will engage students in the fourth grade and K-6 communication arts curriculum by sharing the first-hand experiences with the students via video and photo documentary. We congratulate Mrs. Grisham for being selected for this fellowship and look forward to the learning experiences she brings to the classroom!

In 1999 the National Reading Panel was appointed by President Bush to identify research-based methods of teaching reading. This site has the Panel's recommendations, a video of the findings, as well as information for teachers.
