Hi! I am Ms. Ellison and I am the Junior High Social Studies teacher. This is my second year of teaching in the Gainesville school district. I grew up in Centerview, Missouri in a community much like Gainesville. I graduated from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo in December 2015 with my Bachelor's degree in History. I am currently working on my Master's degree in History at UCM. I was not sure where I wanted my education in History to take me until I began as a substitute at Gainesville. It was during this time that I realized I belong in the field of Education where I can share my love of history with my students. 

I grew up and completed much of my education in the Warrensburg, Mo area, but moved to Gainesville, Mo to be near family in 2019. I have a lot of family in this area, and spent most childhood holidays visiting my grandparents in Howard's Ridge.  I now live in that area. My dad is a Gainesville alumni, graduating in 1974! I enjoy spending my free time with family, outdoors, in my garden, traveling, playing, watching, or coaching sports. I will be the assistant high school volleyball coach. I am a very proud aunt x8, and two of those nephews attend Gainesville. My husband James and I are expecting our first child in November. 

I can't wait to start another great year at Gainesville! I hope I can pass on my love of History to my students!
