Dr. Richard Wylie
Dr. Richard Wylie, Ed.D. has served as a school administrator for 17 years, working alongside some of the finest educators in the country. Prior to taking on the responsibilities of administrator, Dr. Wylie taught MS/HS Social Studies and HS Language Arts. Along the career path, Dr. Wylie has sponsored student council, coached baseball, and served on MSIP and CSIP committees. His areas of expertise would be in curriculum development-implementation and professional development. Dr. Wylie is a graduate of Southwest MO State with a Bachelors degree in Political Science and American History, of William Woods University with a Masters and Specialist degrees in Ed. Admin., and Lindenwood University with a doctorate in Ed. Admin. When asked to sum up being a successful educator, Dr. Wylie states, "Just be student centered on all things related to teaching."
Dr. Wylie is married to Valerie and together they raised four children, three daughters and a son. Dallas is married and lives in Alaska with her husband, Mike. Jennifer is married and lives in Joplin with her husband, Austin. Abigail lives in Pittsburg with the granddogs, Millie and Gidgit. William lives in Dexter, MO. Along with raising successful children, Dr. Wylie and Valerie have also parented countless dogs, cows, stray neighbor's kids, and the occasional wild animal. The Wylie's now split their home obligations between the house on Bull Shoals Lake and the ranch in Hartville. Both are especially eager to expand their family to include the Gainesville community and look forward to sharing fellowship with you all.
