School-Parent-Community Partnership
Our school recognizes that educating students and helping them achieve success is a shared responsibility between the school and parents. Schools and parents must work together to ensure that students develop the necessary skills for success in life.
The stakeholders in the process of educating students (the schools, the parents and the community) can each contribute unique individual and cultural aspects to forge partnerships that are meaningful and productive.
The school supports the development, implementation, and continuing evaluation of activities that promote:
-
Communication between parents & school
-
Recognition of the primary roles of parents & parenting
-
Successful student learning & skill development
-
Parents & their contributions as welcomed assets
-
Parents as vital members of the decision-making body of schools
-
Community partnership that expand horizons for students

CARE to LEARN
HEALTH * HUNGER * HYGIENE
The mission of Care to Learn is to provide immediate funding to meet emergent needs in the areas of health, hunger and hygiene so every student can be successful in school.
The vision of Care to Learn is no child will suffer physically or emotionally due to lack of food, access to medical, dental or mental health care or hygiene issues.
Our district established a local chapter of Care to Learn just in September 2016. We welcome you to a partnership between the district and community to ensure healthy, fed, and successful students. Care to Learn is a nonprofit and partners with The Community Foundation of the Ozarks located in Springfield, Missouri. All activities are governed by the best practices of nonprofits and must meet the standards for 501c3 governance. All donations to our local chapter are strictly charitable.
If you would like to be more involved please contact either
Dr. Hyatt (417) 679-4260 or Nicole Hambelton (417) 679-4416

Back Pack Program
Funded by community donations and organizations, such as the YEP Club, Masonic Lodge, and Care to Learn, our Back Packs for Food Program provides a weekend's worth of healthy food and snacks in a back pack. The bags are packed with the assistance of the YEP Club and school counselors and then given to the students the last school day of each week.
